Isaiah 40:28-29: “Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting GOD, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
HE will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
HE gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
Isaiah 41:10: “Do not fear, for I AM with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God,
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my “R” right hand.”
Tonight I had the delight and pleasure to talk with my neighbors who briefly shared that one of them is training for the IRON Man Competition. (Like, Wow!) They shared stories of those who train with determination and perseverance amidst physical obstacles that would cause some to “just quit”. (Another, Wow!)
It made me reminisce about a vacation we added to a family reunion gathering – visiting Bryce Canyon (what a place to see — go if you have the opportunity). The boys were younger, and so our hiking adventures were governed by the capacity that we all could handle as a family.
I remember we were coming down a very steep trail when a petite woman with a pack on her back was RUNNING the trail. I am pretty sure she lapped us. “Wow! Really?” I thought to myself – I was in awe.
This Scripture comes to mind:
2 TIMOTHY 2:5: “Also if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not win the prize unless he competes according to the rules.”
For those who have studied the W.O.G. we know that we must look at the verses before and after this Scripture to see what the Author of 2 Timothy desires to convey.
2 TIMOTHY 2:1 “You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
3 Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
4 No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.” (who? has enlisted you?)
VS. 6: The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to receive his share of the crops.
7 Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.
8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descendant of David, according to my gospel,
9 for which I suffer hardship even to imprisonment as a criminal; but the word of God is not imprisoned.
TO CARRY IT FURTHER:
14 Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
16 But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness,
17 and their talk will spread like gangrene.
Elohim- Created us to bring a correct estimate of who HE is – He has created each for His purpose and plan. His Word is not imprisoned. He created His Creation to do His will.
John 8:32: “And the Truth will make you Free.”
It is our privilege and our job to do His will – and HE equips us to do that which HE has called us to do.
Do not look at your job as just a job and just a paycheck to receive — but our jobs are the Calling He has graciously given.
We are Ambassadors of the Creator of the Universe to reflect a correct opinion of WHO HE is in us — His Name Adonai will be presented in the future.
Pray for the fruit of HIS Spirit to permeate and go forth in His Strength and power (Galatians 5:22-23) and to do that which HE will accomplish and not return void or empty (Isaiah 55:11).
Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord,
21 equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Now go forth and climb and train and be prepared for what Elohim has prepared (before the foundation of the world) for you to do! He is with you! He will equip you!
